Thanks! I actually found it hiking on the Pumpkin Trail up north a bit in Arizona a while back. There was this spot with all these odd-colored bee-looking critters buzzing around happily in the flowers. The internets suggest to me that it’s a tachinid fly, though I don’t have the specifics figured out.
